Materials and maintenance: the seat cushion
Our seat cushions consist of two layers of the highest-quality cold foam. The result: lasting comfort.

The seat cushion: premium cold foam
Seat cushions are filled with cold foam, a material that lasts much longer than classic polyether foam and develops indentations much more slowly. Kairos seat cushions consist of two layers: a thick base layer with high firmness and a top layer with lower firmness, creating very comfortable seating.
A property of cold foam is that it takes up to six months to stabilise. During this period, the seat becomes softer and even more comfortable.

Pantera cold foam: the highest quality available
Kairos uses Pantera cold foam, the highest quality available. It's produced in the Netherlands and is flame-retardant without extra additives. [1] It meets the Californian fire-safety standard TB 117 [2] and carries the Oekotex 100 certificate.
In practice, the lifespan is often 20 to 30 years. That too is a form of sustainability!

Maintenance: not necessary
The seat cushions are maintenance-free. We recommend using all seating positions equally so no difference develops in resilience or potential creasing. Swap cushions occasionally with other modules to wear intensively used spots evenly.
Don't place wet objects on the cushion, moisture temporarily affects resilience.
