Yes. We are happy to help you put together a sofa that suits your space, living style, and usage. This can be done in our studio, by phone, or via video call. Based on a floor plan or photos of your interior, we are happy to help you think about dimensions, configurations, and upholstery.

Every Kairos sofa is produced in the Netherlands by selected suppliers who share our high standards regarding quality, sustainability, and craftsmanship. We consciously choose production close to home. This allows us to keep transport distances limited, closely monitor quality, and build long-term relationships with our production partners.

Because every sofa is made to order, we only produce what is actually needed. This is how we prevent unnecessary stock and material waste.

A sustainable sofa is not just about the materials it contains, but certainly also about how long it lasts. That is why we design our sofas according to circular principles: made for a long lifespan, easy to maintain, and prepared for maintenance, repair, and reuse.

The modular design makes it possible to replace, add, or reconfigure parts when your living preferences change. As a result, damaged or worn parts do not have to lead to the replacement of the entire sofa. The covers are also washable and replaceable, ensuring the sofa remains beautiful for years.

In addition, we work with high-quality materials that have been carefully selected for quality, comfort, and durability. Through the materials passport, you know exactly which materials have been used and how they can be maintained, repaired, or ultimately reused.

In this way, we do not invest in furniture that is replaced after a few years, but in furniture that can last for generations.

A modular sofa consists of separate elements that you can combine as desired. This allows you to put together the ideal configuration yourself and adjust it later when your living preferences change. Think, for example, of expanding a straight sofa into a corner sofa or lounge sofa.

Start with the available space and how you use the sofa. Do you mainly want to sit upright, relax while lounging, or entertain many guests? Various configurations are possible with our modules. We are happy to advise you on finding the right combination.

Yes. The modular system is designed to grow with your life. Are you moving, does your family situation change, or do you want a different configuration? Then you can add extra modules later or combine existing modules differently.

We work with carefully selected, high-quality fabrics. They excel in durability, low impact, and are all locally produced. You can request fabric samples in advance so you can view and compare the materials at home.

Because every Kairos sofa is produced to order, changes are possible as long as production has not yet started. Please contact us as soon as possible regarding this. Once production has started, changes may incur additional costs or may no longer be possible.

After configuring your sofa, you simply order it in our webshop. You pay 50% of the total amount using iDeal / Wero or a credit card. Your sofa is then produced especially for you. Before delivery, you will receive an invoice for the remaining balance, and your new sofa will be delivered to your home.

Delivery within the Netherlands is free. For delivery to an upper floor, we charge a contribution of 50 euros. For delivery to the Wadden Islands, we charge € 350. For international destinations, please contact us for a quote.

We produce in batches. This allows us to keep prices fair, avoid unnecessary transport, and prevent excess stock. The month in which your order is delivered depends on when you place your order: orders up to and including February are delivered in May, orders up to and including May in August, orders up to and including August in November, and orders up to and including November in February.

Yes. Your sofa will be delivered to your home. Each module is delivered fully assembled in a reusable transport bag. If you have ordered multiple modules, they will be placed and connected in the correct location so that you can enjoy your new sofa immediately.

Of course, we will take the transport sleeves back with us so that we can reuse them and you are not left with a pile of packaging material.

Yes, in many cases, delivery outside the Netherlands is possible. Please contact us for the options, delivery times, and shipping costs for your country.

Because every Kairos sofa is produced and assembled especially for you, the right of withdrawal generally does not apply, unlike with standard stock products. Naturally, we will think along with you extensively beforehand so that you can make a well-considered choice. Always check the current general terms and conditions for the exact regulations.

We believe that a sofa should last a long time. That is why we design our sofas with high-quality materials, replaceable parts, and a construction that is easy to repair.

That is why we offer a 10-year warranty on the frame of our sofas and a 5-year warranty on all other parts of our sofas. In addition, you are always entitled to the statutory warranty.

Many pieces of furniture are designed as a closed product: if a part becomes damaged or worn out, replacement is often difficult or even impossible. At Kairos, we consciously choose a different approach. All parts of our sofas can be replaced, repaired, or reordered individually. This ensures that your sofa remains easy to maintain and usable for years to come, even after the warranty period.

Should something unexpectedly go wrong, we always look for the most sustainable solution first, such as repair or replacement of the affected part. This way, your Kairos sofa remains a piece of furniture you can enjoy for years to come, not only during the warranty period but also afterwards.

Yes. All parts of a Kairos sofa are individually replaceable. Think of covers, cushion fillings, back frames, and legs. This means you never have to replace an entire sofa when only one part needs replacing.

We believe that raw materials retain their value. That is why we are working on a circular system where materials can be reused. If you cannot find a new owner, we will gladly buy your sofa back for a modest amount — comparable to the deposit on bottles and cans, between 5% and 10% of the original purchase price, depending on the condition of the sofa.

With a few simple habits, your Kairos sofa will stay beautiful for years. Regular maintenance prevents wear and tear and makes removing stains much easier.

We recommend vacuuming the upholstery weekly with a soft furniture brush on low suction. Dust, sand, and other dirt are not always visible, but they can damage the fabric over time.

If a stain does occur, carefully remove solid residue with a spoon and immediately blot up liquids with paper towels. Do not rub the stain and preferably use a specialized furniture cleaner.

All Kairos sofa covers are removable and washable. This allows you to easily keep your sofa fresh, so a minor accident does not immediately mean permanent damage. Wash covers inside out, following the instructions stated on the washing labels.

Are you unsure about a specific stain or the care of your fabric? Feel free to contact us. Using your sofa's serial number, we can provide targeted advice.

Our sofas are designed for easy maintenance. Regular vacuuming extends the lifespan of your upholstery. The covers are removable and washable. The back and side cushions are filled with wool and should be fluffed regularly for optimal support and appearance. If necessary, they can be refilled after prolonged use. The steel frame requires minimal maintenance and can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth.

Our fabrics are highly resistant to daily use. Which fabric is most suitable for pets depends on the type of pet and usage. We are happy to advise you on fabrics that are particularly practical for households with dogs or cats.

Yes. All covers are detachable and can be replaced individually. This allows you to replace damaged covers or give your sofa a new look without purchasing a completely new piece of furniture.

Yes. That is a key principle of our design. The parts are detachable and, where possible, easy to replace or repair yourself. Naturally, we are happy to assist you with advice or replacement parts.

Every Kairos sofa has its own materials passport. Via the QR code, you gain insight into the materials used, maintenance instructions, and information regarding repair, replacement, and reuse. This ensures that important product information remains available throughout the entire lifespan of your sofa.
